Estimating
At Thames Valley Scaffold we understand the importance of returning concise and detailed tender documentation to our clients whatever the scale of the project.
- You will receive a fully itemised breakdown of all costs rather than a lump sum
- Estimating from supplied technical drawings or site visits with client
- Rapid returns on estimates. We appreciate that on occasions there is a need for swift response to tender requests, we aim to return scaffolding quotes within 48 hours of a site visit or from supplied technical drawings
Typical process - Quote to completion
- Client requests a quotation via email or telephone and issues any relevant drawings and photographs they may have
- A site Visit is then arranged for larger scale scaffolding projects
- Fully itemised quotation is generated by our lead estimator
- Client issues a purchase order should they wish to accept the quotation
- Thames Valley Scaffold will then issue in-house technical drawing using our “SMART Scaffolder: scaffolding design and estimating software” or using our third-party suppliers for scaffolds that fall outside the scope of TG20:21
- Comprehensive and site specific risk assessments and method statements are written for each project and issued to the client for approval prior to our arrival on site
- Thames Valley Scaffold will then install the scaffold on site with supervisors on site at all times to monitor progress and assess any changes that may affect the RAMS
- Upon completion, pull test reports will be issued to confirm the suitability of all ties
- A handover certificate will be issued along with a TG20:21 compliance sheet for those scaffolds that fall within the scope of TG20:21
- Weekly inspections will then be undertaken and all relevant documentation relating to the inspections issued via email
- Once the client has finished the scaffold a Thames Valley Scaffold team will return to site to commence the safe removal of the scaffold from site, all tie holes to be filled during the striking of the scaffold
